	"I Love my New Car from Simply Luxury Imports! When I first thought to buy a Used Luxury Car I thought to go directly to the dealerships but I soon realized that was the wrong move. The salesmen at the dealership only wanted to make a sale and jack the prize up because I was ‘buying luxury’. As a woman, you have to make sure that you are not being taken advantage of when buying a car. I wanted to deal with professionals, who knew about cars and cared about me getting into the right car for me. 	I bought a used Lexus from Simply Luxury Imports in July 2010. While I had previously purchased used cars from private sellers, this was the first time I had purchased one from a dealership. With internet marketing being so prevalent in used car sales, once I decided on the make and model I wanted, I found a couple of dealers’ sites consistently popping up on different search engines. Those search engines are how I first heard of SLXI. I did a good deal of comparison shopping on line before visiting any dealerships. I finally focused on two cars: one from a larger new and used car dealership (not either of the Twin Cities Lexus dealers) and one from SLXI. Both had detailed descriptions of the vehicles, a comprehensive list of options, multiple photos and video tours of the cars. I had a full understanding of the vehicles before seeing them in person. I was reluctant to try SLXI. I was not familiar with the company. It was not a “named” dealership with which I was familiar. I was used to the standard large new car lot whose used cars were straightforward trade-ins (often of different makes than the new vehicles offered by the dealerships). I was not familiar with upscale used-car-only dealerships such as SLXI. For that reason, I decided to give the larger dealership the first shot at my business. I do frequent negotiations in my job. I am comfortable with the negotiation process; I know many people are not. I tried negotiating with the larger dealership. From the beginning, they knew I was working with a trade in. Their numbers were uniformly higher for their vehicle and lower for my trade in than I found with SLXI. I had a good understanding of the market numbers for the vehicle I was purchasing and the vehicle I was trading in. I understood a trade in from a dealer was not going to get me as much as a private sale, but the larger dealership was out-of-whack with their numbers. I went into the negotiations knowing car businesses were not going to buy or sell at a loss, and I expected any end numbers would allow for a profit. However, the larger dealership tried to take too much profit from our dealings. The dealership ended the negotiations quickly. It remains my impression that dealership was trying to make too big a profit from me. I left that dealership and went directly to SLXI. After looking at the car, and giving them a chance to look at mine, we worked through a deal at a much better number than the larger dealership ever neared. And SLXI did not have any of the annoying dealership negotiation ploys (checking with the manager to get the okay; pushing information about the overhead a dealership of that size must carry; inflating the cost of work done on the car). At SLXI, I negotiated with one person. We sat in a room and talked numbers. I knew he was working to make a profit too, but he did not use any of the ploys I have experienced in the past from larger dealerships. He could answer all of my questions about the car. I never heard anything which made me question whether he was telling me the truth. We struck a deal quickly, and pretty effortlessly. The purchasing experience was simple. My discussions with Nick Lawson of the dealership gave me some good insights into why the SLXI business model works. This is a smaller shop with a limited inventory. Overhead is going to be much, much lower than larger dealers. The trade off is that they often will not have the precise car you want to find. If you are searching for a particular model which is not in their inventory, they will not make it to your map. They seem unlikely to have multiple versions of the same model car. But in the internet age, purchases can do a search for a car from their desk rather than walking individual dealer lots. It is possible to focus on individual cars, and we no longer need big dealerships with big inventories to find the specific car we want. I got the sense SLXI has recognized its niche and is not trying to do too much or be more than it should be. One of the things SLXI does well is prepare cars for sale. I work with a guy who has done body work in the past. I had him look at the cars from both dealerships. He walked me through issues for both cars. He pushed to me the idea that while I was buying a used car, I was buying a high end car from a dealership, and I should have high expectations: there should not be paint problems, it should have good tires and brakes; the interior should be in great shape. The comparison between the detailing on the cars showed obvious differences, and it highlighted something else SLXI does extraordinarily well: automotive detailing. The car I purchased from SLXI had new tires; the interior was in great shape; and the exterior detailing was extraordinary. (They paid attention to detail; as part of the purchase price, they ordered new floor mats which they gave me, unopened and unused.) The larger dealership’s detailing was significantly worse than SLXI. The other car had visible swirls from buffing on the hood, paint nicks inexpertly filled in with wax during the buffing process, and apparently unnoticed damage under the front bumper—which was acknowledged when I pointed it out. Describing the car I bought from SLXI, my body guy summed it in a way that is ultimately most meaningful: “You got more car for less money.” I bought the car I wanted for the price I wanted in a no-hassle setting. I have received good follow up from SLXI. I have recommended it to people I know who are looking for cars. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Allan W-2007 Lexus GS350

	Dealing with Simply Luxury Imports was excellent. I didn't feel like I was being sold a car. Instead, Nick walked me from bumper to bumper objectively describing the car with neither a positive nor negative bias. He described his inventory philosophy as only purchasing cars to sell that he would want for himself. The purchase was seamless. Customer service was beyond expectations as well. The M3 I purchased was missing a floor mat and needed a front license plate bracket. Simply Luxury Imports had the bracket painted to match the car and ordered factory BMW mats for me. 	I recently purchased a 2006 BMW 330xi from Simply Luxury Imports and I couldn't be happier with both my purchase and buying experience. The car appeared in person just as it had been advertised on the website, and my experience with the staff (Nick) was top notch. From beginning to end, Nick was very professional, patient, and courteous throughout the sales process. From application to delivery, I was pleased with the level of customer service the guys at SLXI exhibited. I believe a customer first approach has been a lost art form in recent years, but not at Simply Luxury Imports. I was able to test drive multiple cars without even a hint of pressure to buy from Nick or any of the staff at SLXI. At first Nick did not have the very specific vehicle I was looking for, which was a black on black 330i or 330xi with the sport package and manual trans. However, he was diligent in his efforts to satisfy my needs, and within a week or so, Nick had the vehicle that met my demands. The next issue was the price, which I think was a very fair price for the options the car had. I think all the vehicles at SLXI are priced very fair and are not indicative of someone trying to gouge the customer of every penny. Overall, my experience with Simply Luxury Imports was excellent and I would have no problems either purchasing another vehicle from them or recommending them to a friend.
